ABOUT LET ME IN

Let Me In is a project by Ronita Awoonor-Gordon and Sarah Namusobya. The aim of this project is to explore the effects of migration on individuals and families with a focus on young migrants in the UK and their experiences accessing higher education.

The project aims to highlight the experiences of these migrants, many of whom have lived in the UK for several years, and the financial barriers they face when applying for university and during their degree if they are able to attend.

We are committed to ensuring that the project calls for more scholarships and funding for these migrants and more support for projects and campaigns that support migrants in higher education. We understand the importance of this issue as higher education often determines the futures of these migrants. The current laws and policies in place deny access to education for these young migrants and robs them of their dreams and aspirations.
